Newborn baby pictures and portraits
Most mums or dads with a new addition to the family, are usually too busy to think about getting a baby portraits and pictures. Before you know it they are toddlers running around having fun. For this reason it is a great idea to get a baby portraits, that way you can capture them how you remember they were before they started walking and talking.
The best time to get a baby portraits is when they are a newborn between three to ten days old, that is when you can get the best sleeping baby shots. At that time their muscles have not developed properly yet, so you can move their arms and legs into cute positions that make for great shots. Have a look at my baby portraits photography gallery for examples.
If your baby is older than ten days, don’t worry, it is still possible to get fantastic images.
My baby portrait photography shoots take place in your own home using my portable studio. I find this is most convenient as it means parents don’t have to worry about getting their baby to a studio with all their supplies, as well as not having to arrange a baby sitter for their other children if they have them.
In my experience most Mums and dads prefer to stay out of the pictures, but they are more than welcome to get in on the fun. If they are not feeling up for that then a close up of the baby with them holding it can make a great picture. Especially when shot against a black background with them wearing black with just the arms showing.
Getting the pictures done is only half the story, once they are done there are countless options for mounting and framing the pictures. From the popular canvas wraps, to traditional mounted prints, as well as more contemporary finishes like aluminum mounted and acrylic prints. Please get in touch for more information.
