I myself have had a working relationship with DMC Fitness for a few years now, having photographed them for Sunday Mail story’s and features many times. I am also an ex student and I can’t recommend them enough. I considered myself very fit and healthy even before going to DMC as a student as I regularly go to the gym and had what I thought was a healthy diet. Even though I’ve never been overweight I have always wanted to get my body fat down. Even after going to the gym for eight years I never managed it. Thanks to Pablo, Grant and Davie I am now down to single digit body fat and have never felt better.
In my opinion what sets them apart from normal personal trainers is that most personal trainers will give you a cracking workout for an hour a week. Then you leave and live how you always have lived. Then go back again the next week. Most people don’t get anywhere and lose interest after a while when they don’t get the results they hoped for.
At DMC you also get a brilliant workout for the time you are there. They also re educate you as to what to eat and what to stay away from, as well as making you customised eating and training plans for you to use between your sessions. They don’t tell you to diet, they just change your diet so your still getting to eat as much as you want. This for me has changed my lifestyle and is in my opinion how their students get the results that they do.
I was asked to document their first two Ubuntu seminars. The following description was taken from the DMC website as I think they can describe what the seminars are about better than I can. In August, we successfully delivered two W.D.D.T.Y seminars to over 70 attendees, with a huge 53% of them coming along from the general public, non connected to DMC Fitness itself.
The ‘What Diets Don’t Teach You’ health, wellness and weight loss seminars have been designed by a presenter and coach who has struggled with obesity and food disorder for 8 years and finally beaten them. A man who has managed to overcome a long list of personal challenges, including physical and mental abuse, learning difficulties, low self-esteem, confidence issues and lack of self-respect. From all that to a proud dad and family man, champion athlete and a self-made, successful, multiple business owner, who has personally developed a range of health and fitness products that have inspired thousands of people to get fit, healthy and happy with who they are and the lives they lead.
The sad reality is that our nation is sick. 97% of our population falls into the category of ‘unhealthy’, with 2 in 3 adults being classed as either overweight or obese. These figures are set to increase over the next few years and unfortunately, the advice being given by the Government and our National Health Service does not seem to be having the required effect. All we here about at the moment is about how bad the health of Scotland is and how overweight we all are.
I have been developing and honing these skills throughout the last decade and am now ready to deliver a seminar which has the potential to be life-changing. I am going to share with you my model for producing lasting weight loss and health gains.
