One of the last weddings I was asked to do last year, was for a Scottish bride and Italian groom at Park Circus Registry Office in Glasgow. This got me really excited as being an autumn wedding at a beautiful Georgian town house like Park Circus, would give me a fantastic opportunity to get some great pictures.
The Italians style stands out as they arrive in a black hack.
Not to be outdone, the Scottish guests looking very stylish as well.
Both family’s were having a competition to see who could get the best picture. It couldn’t have been me as I never seen the bottle of whisky which was the prize.
This little guy will be a pro before he is out his teens.
The beautiful Georgian architecture made a great back drop as the couple leave.
Before the wedding I did a recce and found this lane behind the registry office. It made a great background for a picture.
Luckily the couple had set aside lots of time to do the pictures as there were great spots around every corner. The late afternoon sunshine and the changing colours of the leaves came together for some great pictures.
I really liked this shot and when designing the wedding album I used it to great effect as the last picture of the album on the back pages. A good location can make a shoot special. This is one of them.
